      These Bible workers in Zambia had no transportation to travel from village to village. World Medics, Inc. provided bicyles for each one.

      On the island of Chuuk, school children were in desperate need of a well to provide adequate fresh water. There was not enough rain to keep their water tanks filled. They had only receptacles for rain water and one 20-foot underground well, which was unable to supply sufficient water. WMI assisted with funds to complete a deep well.

Nowarat Children's Empowerment Program

A sad reality in Thailand is the trafficking of humans and child prostitution. Young girls coerced into the sex industry often unknowingly and as young as 9, face a horrific and often short life. Parents have been known to sell their daughters to pimps from the cities. Learning of this ADRA Thailand (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) started a program entirely funded by private donations which identifies 'at risk' girls in our project areas, and ensures they attend school regularly, and are monitored by our project staff to ensure they do not get sent away never to be seen again.
